Artisan growth and success consulting

I've stood behind the table. Let me help with yours.

I spent four years of weekends selling at farmers markets and craft markets, first with Epic Beard Company and then with Rustic Cravings small-batch granola. I learned what makers actually run into, and I help artisans and crafters get started, get found, and get paid.

What the market taught me

Two businesses, two very different tables, and the same lesson both times.

Epic Beard Company

I started before I felt ready.

I got into growing a beard and saw that nobody locally served the guys doing the same. I started as a pop-up vendor, sourcing quality beard care to begin with. Every sale was a chance to teach, and customers taught me right back. Once I knew enough, I started making my own blends.

Rustic Cravings Granola

I found the gap in the vendor list.

The market's monthly newsletter kept asking for granola. I tested recipes in my own kitchen, handed samples to other vendors for honest feedback, and set three rules: Florida orange blossom honey, no added sugars, and no artificial flavors. Then I got creative with spicy, savory, tropical, and dark chocolate flavors.

Because granola is food, I also learned labeling, registration, and insurance firsthand.

  • The DIYer who wants to sell their work and teach others to make it.

Getting started at market

I'm writing a book and resource guide for new market vendors. It walks the whole path: starting with an idea, setting up your business, researching events, meeting requirements, preparing, marketing your presence, the day of the event, and talking to customers. It's in the works, and I'll let you know when it's ready.
