About
I help people get heard.
I'm a producer, performance coach, and entrepreneur who lives and works on Florida's Treasure Coast.
My performing career started at age 12 on a church puppet team. Later I was inspired by the showmanship of drag queens and kings and became a lip sync and performance artist. I've collaborated on shows with performers from around the country and created and choreographed more than a dozen productions of my own.
I learned what it takes to hold an audience, and I learned a lot of it the hard way. When I stepped away from the stage, I realized I could do more good helping other people get where I wanted to go.
The road so far
- On stageA puppet team at 12, then years of lip sync and performance art and a dozen-plus original shows.
- 2017: Building on my ownMy first ventures as an entrepreneur, and the start of Being On Stage, a podcast and coaching practice for performers. I recorded 197 episodes between November 2017 and February 2020.
- The market yearsFour years of weekends at farmers markets and craft markets, first with Epic Beard Company and then with Rustic Cravings, a small-batch granola business. Along the way I ran six beard and mustache contests, four of them at the county fair.
- Epic Beard CompanyA beard care line that started as a market pop-up. It closed in 2023, and the designs live on as shirts, mugs, and stickers.
- Today: producing, hosting, and consultingI'm the producer and co-founder of Dino Gnome with my wife Tab, I host You Got a Little Sh!t on Your Face, and I help artisans and crafters grow their businesses.
What I bring
Corporate coach training and years as a senior customer service supervisor taught me to ask the next question and actually listen to the answer. Years of building businesses taught me what they cost. I use both every time I sit across from someone with a story to tell.
